McCartney Joins Little Steven At London Concert

Little Steven Van Zandt invited Paul McCartney onto the stage at his Disciples of Soul concert at The Roundhouse in London, Nov. 4. Van Zandt introduced him by saying he wanted to “finish some unfinished business” referring to a 2012 concert by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Hyde Park at which a guest appearance by McCartney was cut short by concert organizers. “We want to finish a song we started,” Van Zandt added.

The London concert was the first show off a European tour by Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul that will last for about five weeks. McCartney happened to be in London, having a break after touring North and South America. At the end of the show they performed The Beatles song “I Saw Her Standing There” together:

It was the second time within two months that McCartney and Little Steven performed together. Bruce Springsteen and Van Zandt joined McCartney for the same song at a Madison Square Garden concert by McCartney, Sept. 15.
